Located in the valley of Teuchitan, 3 hours east drive from Puerto Vallarta. It’s one the most mportant ceremonial center of west Mexico. Its rounded pyramids are unique along some others located by the region. This archeological site was a ceremonial center with rounded and conical pyramids, two ball game courts and some terraces. The main pyramids hast four ladders pointing to the carnial point. A site museum shows the social living and cosmovision of ancient villagers who lived by farming and practicing the culture of maize.
Uno de los centros ceremoniales mas importantes del occidente de México y a tan solo 3 horas de Puerto Vallarta. Sus pirámides circulares y cónicas muy propias de las culturas de Aztlán coinciden con otros centros ceremoniales de esta región del país. El sitio comprende dos canchas de juego de pelota y algunas terrazas y recientemente se integró un museo de sitio que alberga múltiples vestigios encontrados durante las excavaciones. El sitio muestra también el arraigo hacia la cultura del maíz muy característico de las culturas mesoamericanas.
